Teens stone Jewish children’s bus in Brooklyn

Police say four teenagers have been arrested on hate crime charges for throwing rocks at a school bus full of Jewish toddlers in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Crown Heights. The three girls and one boy yelled epithets last month as they broke windows on the bus. The children, who study at a Jewish school in the neighborhood, weren’t hurt.

The case is part of a string of incidents that have stirred tensions between the large black and ultra-Orthodox Jewish communities of Crown Heights. The teens are all 14 and are black. [cont.]

Doesn’t sound all that low level to me. One has to remember the Jews in Crown Heights are largely the Lubavitch Hasidic sect . Unlike Reform and secular Jews they won’t abandon their neighborhood to the blacks and run to the suburbs. They’re tough, and unlike many other Jews they will physically engage their adversaries. Remember the grave diggers strike? The strikers found out just how tough they are.

I’m sure we will see more instances of black violence against Jews as the Jews expand into the Flatbush area. To some extent it does resemble the situation where Israeli Jews create settlements in the West Bank and the local residents resent their presence.
