WELL KNOWN LIBERAL BLOGGER SHOT IN WASHINGTON, D.C..
Brian Beutler, a well-known progressive blogger, was shot and seriously injured during a mugging last night in Washington, D.C.
One bullet damaged Beutler’s spleen, and he had it removed during surgery this morning at the Washington Hospital Center. He’s expected to make a “pre-trauma” recovery, which is to say, a completely full recovery….
Some of the details of the incident are still sketchy. According to Van Slyke, Beutler was walking with a friend after leaving a bar in Washington’s Adams Morgan section when the two were confronted by a man demanding their cell phones near 17th Street and Euclid Street.
It’s unclear as yet what happened, but the man fired several shots at Beutler. One bullet hit him in the spleen and he was hit twice in the shoulder. A D.C. police official said he wasn’t aware of any arrests made in connection with the shooting.
Beutler’s companion called 9-11. After getting rushed to the hospital by ambulance, Beutler underwent surgery.

As resigned as I am to seeing daily white capitulations to blacks, this one astonished me. A black debate team from Towson University (Maryland) won a championship by refusing to debate their opponents on the assigned topic. Instead, they rapped and hip-hopped about racism, sexism, and homophobia. Not only were they awarded the win, but their cheated opponents (the number one seed in the tournament) didn’t even protest. When I first heard about this I thought it was just some wild story floating around on the web, but it’s apparently true:

The question goes out, and the response is always the same.
“I’m proud of my language and culture. Are you?” Bok van Blerk demands of the emotionally charged crowd.
Up goes the cheer, and then comes the song—an Afrikaans folk number about a Boer war general that has become a sensation in South Africa as an anthem for young whites who say they are tired of being made to feel guilty about the apartheid past.
It’s worth watching the videos. The first is the song, the next two are reactions / interviews. You are free to ignore the usual liberal platitudes that are sprinkled throughout.
Maybe it’s just me and my history among defeated but defiant peoples—Lithuanian by heritage, raised in the South—but I got teary-eyed watching all of this.

It’s one thing to be a lone voice in the wilderness, mourning the dying of the West. Don’t you think it would be another thing if you were surrounded by people who were sad?
For today, the city of Seattle is a traditionalist conservative town, mourning a loss—the Sonics basketball team is leaving. The comments on the blogs are full of anguish, pain, loss, helplessness, for there is no changing this. Fittingly, it’s raining here today.
If only we could see this kind of sentiment for what we are losing in the West! Ah, woe is me…

Jeff is wrong to bet that. First of all, County Durham, where the crime took place, has not been heavily ethnically enriched; second, no weapon or gang was involved; third, the violence was not vicious and grossly disproportionate to the “provocation.” It was a push not apparently intended to cause serious injury. I predict the killer is white. Black violence is bad enough here without our seeing it where it probably has not taken place.
This, however, is certainly a typically black story: Boris Johnson was bullied by the ethnic lobby to hand the post over to a black, and now seems to be reaping his reward:

London mayor Mr Johnson announced the independent inquiry into the allegations at City Hall. Ray Lewis now faces an investigation into the claims, which he said are “totally unfounded.” Mr Lewis founded the Eastside Young Leaders Academy in 2003—a youth scheme known for its tough approach with drills, uniforms and strict discipline.

Note; If James M. is right about the colour of the killer I’ll be the first to raise my hand and say I was wrong. No problem. Whites sometimes commit violent crimes. Especially in significantly white areas!
But in far too many cases I have been right about the colour of the violent criminal attacker.
Again, I reiterate that there are many decent black people who are appalled by the violence in and from the black community. This is not said to be politically correct but because it is true. Black violent crime can only stop with the help of decent black people (including ex-offenders who have gone straight).
