Palin correcting her small town chauvinism

Carol Iannone wrote the other day at VFR that she felt excluded by Sarah Palin’s boastful comments about small town America in her convention speech, which made it seem as if only people from small towns are real Americans. What about people from cities, Miss Iannone wondered, aren’t they Americans, too?

Palin seems to have gotten the message. At a campaign rally in Michigan yesterday she said:

So it fits that we went this morning right from the convention to Smalltown, USA. And it’s said that we grow good people in small towns and bigger ones, too, obviously.
