Black man, after robbing 20 year old white woman at knifepoint,
(Note: As discussed by several commenters, below, the victim’s story about having a letter cut in her face seems to be a hoax. I also think that that’s a strong possibility. But, as I point out, if it is a hoax, i.e., if a white Republican woman made up a story that a black man carved a letter in her face, it’s an event almost as rare as a girl murdering both her parents, since virtually all the hoaxes nowadays are made up by blacks, or occasionally by white women, about white men, and the two best known incidents in which whites made up charges about blacks were cases in which the hoaxers were murderers trying to deflect suspicion from themselves by making up an imaginary black suspect, rather than acting with a racial motive. But if this incident is a hoax, then the motive would appear to be purely anti-black, or perhaps anti-Obama.) sees she has a McCain bumper sticker, and carves a letter into her face. Here’s the headline and lead sentence of the article, from WTAE Channel Four Action News in Pittsburgh:
Woman Attacked At ATM, Assailant Carves Letter Into Her FaceBecause of the typically incurious and thoughtless “journalism” on display in the article, it’s not clear whether the letter that the perpetrator “carved” into the victim’s face is a permanent scar or only a superficial mark. The article says that the victim was “maimed,” which sounds grave; yet it also says that that the attacker “scratched” the letter B into her face, which sounds much less serious than “carved” or “maimed,” and that she refused medical attention. In any case, the attack was the act of a savage, one of the uncounted black savages who walk at liberty among us, ready to pounce, while we walk around in a pleasant dream of global humanity. Please note: I am not saying that all blacks or most blacks are savages; nor am I saying that whites should go around automatically fearing black people. I live in New York City, I interact with blacks on a regular basis, and I’m comfortable with most ordinary blacks and deal with them as I deal with anyone else. But (1) I live in a low-crime, peaceful neighborhood, (2) many blacks have a palpable hatred of whites just below or on the surface, and (3) the fact remains that a significant portion of the black population are, indeed, savages. I would suggest, furthermore, that the kind of anti-white hatred seen in the Pittsburgh attack is but the gross, physical manifestation of the fury and lust for racial vengeance that has animated Jeremiah Wright for his entire career, even as cool, sophisticated Barack Obama of Columbia and Harvard has sat in Wright’s church for the last twenty years devotedly following his sermons. Am I saying that there is a connection between anti-white black street thugs and the anti-white black elite, and that the elite justify and help drive on the thugs’ savagery? Yes, I am saying that. From Obama’s famous race speech, in which he unambiguously stated (as I show here) that “anger” such as Wright’s must continue until whites makes blacks equal in outcomes to themselves, to Wright’s orchestrated stirring up of his black middle class congregants to whoop and cry with ecstatic hatred of the evil, greedy white man, to the lower class blacks who act out that hatred, it is a single continuum. The attack on a white woman because she had a McCain bumper sticker also supports the prediction of some VFR commenters that the election, whether Obama wins or loses, will lead to an outpouring of black anti-white violence. Here is the rest of the story:
Pittsburgh police spokeswoman Diane Richard tells Channel 4 Action News that the victim was robbed at knifepoint on Wednesday night outside of a Citizens Bank near Liberty Avenue and Pearl Street just before 9 p.m. Sebastian writes:
I think Joe the Plumber and now this amount to an October Surprise. This is an interesting development, for the media will have to address, in some form, where the “hate” is coming from. This will bring to light the many other incidents of McCain supporters being assaulted or intimidated (it happened in NYC a few days ago to another woman, without the knifing), while there are no stories of Obama supporters being attacked. The tension is now real. This is turning into the OJ trial writ large. I predict undecided voters will go for McCain, resulting in Obama’s losing the election, and that riots will ensue in NYC, Chicago, LA and Detroit—at least. Just being known as a conservative among white-collar office workers in NYC is becoming difficult.LA replies:
I would just note that the attacker in the NYC incident was a white man, described as having a doughy face.David B. writes:
As you know, I am a true crime junkie. This happens every week somewhere in the country. One of these days young women are going to have to learn that it is unsafe outside after dark in any urban area.LA replies:
First, I’ve looked up the murder of Kirsten Brydum and have posted a new entry about it. The reports indicate that she was shot and killed, not raped.MG writes:
This incident doesn’t ring true; attacks in which the victim is marked with legible writing seem to be hoaxes more often than not. I suspect we’ll hear in a few days that this woman faked the whole thing, or at least the marking portion of it, for attention.AS writes:
This is in response to the post titled: “Black man, after robbing 20 year old white woman at knifepoint, sees she has a McCain bumper sticker, and carves a letter into her face.”Mark M. writes:
I’d be wary of this story. First, the crime appears not to have been caught on the ATM videocamera. Second, the B scratched/carved into her face appears a little bit too perfect. If the mark was forcibly put on her by an enraged stranger, wouldn’t she have moved her face while he was doing it? And, if he managed to complete the B notwithstanding her resistance, wouldn’t he have left a deeper wound? The mark on her face would seem to have required her to keep still while her assailant was making it. But, that seems implausible. It also is somewhat suggestive that the B was backwards, as if she did it too herself while looking in the mirror. Finally, she declined medical attention after the incident.LA replies:
Virtually all the hoaxes of this nature in recent times, from Tawana Brawley case in 1987-88 to the Duke stripper case in 2007, have been made up by black or female hoaxers about white or male fantasy suspects. I’ve never heard of a white making up such a story about a black, not in several decades, though now I remember there was that incident in Boston about 20 years ago where a white man made up a story about black perpetrators, and the story by a white woman who said a black man had kidnapped her children. But in those two incidents the story was made up not for racial reasons but to deflect suspicions from the hoaxer, who was the real perpetrator. Nevertheless, the three commenters above make good arguments. I pointed out myself that the story didn’t hold together, with regard to the seriousness of the face wound, though it didn’t occur to me that the story was a hoax. If it is, it would be the first incident of its type that I can think of offhand, in which a white Republican, not otherwise guilty of any crime or needing to deflect suspicion from herself, makes up a story that a black had harmed her.Richard B. writes:
In the girl’s picture, the black eye doesn’t have any swelling and there is no bloodshot to her eye. The “B” is backwards as if done in a mirror. I heard she took her own picture. I’m very skeptical, but the police must be too. Just another strange event for strange times.Jed W. writes:
I’d be a bit skeptical of this one. The story doesn’t add up. Who after a robbery starts to read bumper stickers (in dim light)? But a bit more suspect is that the “B” seems to be a mirror image of a “B”. Do you remember the swastika that Morton Downey Junior drew (backwards) on his own face to revive his flagging career? It was a hoax and I fear this might become a distraction in the final days of the campaign as it is revealed.October 24 David B. writes:
Late last night, it did occur to me that the Pittsburgh story could be a hoax. There does not seem to be independent proof, although similar incidents elsewhere seem to have happened. I recall the Charles Stuart murder in Boston you referred to. A white South Carolina woman drove her two sons into a lake and said she was carjacked by a black man. This case also was widely publicized at the time, with the hoax angle heavily played up. Both incidents were murders where the perpetrator was trying to cover it up.
