Poll closed

The VFR presidential poll is closed as of midnight Saturday though further comments will be allowed. While the full tally of votes is presented here, the two numbers that really matter are:

McCain 27
Total non-McCain 42

It’s notable that for all the powerful arguments of the McCain voters, the non-McCain voters, that is, those who think McCain is so terrible that they would in effect let Obama become president rather than vote for McCain, outnumber the McCain voters by over 50 percent.

Thanks to the participants for an exceptionally interesting discussion. I doubt that any other site on the web has had such a searching debate on what has been the most difficult political decision for conservatives in our lifetime. I’ll announce my own vote tomorrow.
