The permanent lesson of the Buffalo beheading

At SANE (the Society of Americans for National Existence), there is an insightful reflection on the meaning of the beheading in Buffalo, New York. This man who beheaded his wife was a moderate Muslim—not observant, but respectful of the faith. And such moderates are always liable, under various internal or external pressures, to have their deeper Muslim/jihadist reactions triggered. This is why, as I have said for many years and will keep saying, significant numbers of Muslims do not belong in any Western society, period.

Is there a correlation between Shariah, Islam, and Beheadings?

Here is story highlighted by Jihad Watch about a Pakistani Muslim who left a successful career as a Buffalo banker to start up a Muslim television station at the urging of his wife. The purpose was to create a better self-image for Muslim Americans. That earlier story is here.

Well, apparently Muzzammil Hassan forgot his college course work on public relations and after his wife filed for divorce and sought a restraining order to keep him out of the house (presumably because he threatened her with violence), he decided to go Jihad and somehow got her to his office and beheaded her. Nice.

The question one might ask is this just another case of domestic violence, albeit with an emphasis on the ‘violence’, or is there something about the Shariah-Islam culture that incessantly drives its adherents to murder by beheading?

Here is a link to a Real Video (you’ll need Real Media Player) that highlighted Mr. Hassan’s move to television and pictures his now murdered wife. From his appearance (clean shaven) and hers (she was not “covered”—no head covering), neither appear to be particularly Shariah observant. So what is it that drew this man back to a Shariah-style capital punishment?

The answer we propose is that even a Muslim who respects Shariah more in the breach than in its observance and thus who does not actually denounce Shariah as vile and anti-Western is a viable candidate to return to Shariah in actu and to embrace its violent and hideous ways. Indeed, this is precisely what we find when the Shariah authorities and their mujahideen recruiters search out new jihad combatants. What you’ll find is that the target pool for recruits are typically well-educated, fully assimilated, affluent young Muslim men who have grown up in homes that while not religious per se were respectful of Shariah and “its ways”.
