The “Hamas asylum” report disproved
I’ve kept hearing in recent days that Obama had okayed asylum in the U.S. for untold thousands of Gazans, and I was shocked and alarmed and couldn’t believe such a thing was true, but I also hadn’t checked it out myself. Today I finally got around to googling the subject and immediately found this at WorldNetDaily:
Obama didn’t OK Palestinian migration to U.S.<br> Reports wrongly claim president allowing Gazans to flood AmericaWow! That must be the first time WND has shot down a sensationalistic, alarmist, and false story.

Here is the Presidential Determination which Obama signed during his first week in office that probably got the wheels spinning relative to the rumor of Gazan refugee migration to the U.S. As you’ll notice, it includes language that stipulates that it is pursuant to previous legislation which contains a myriad of amendments that need to be traced. I attempted it at Cornell Law’s website a few weeks back but lost interest because of the magnitude of the project. Posted by Lawrence Auster at February 26, 2009 02:34 PM | Send Email entry |
