Given that the play/movie Inherit the Wind has been the single most influential work of lying propaganda in modern America, it will be worthwhile to revisit Carol Iannone’s important 1997 article in First Things, “The Truth About Inherit the Wind.” Iannone exposes, step by step, the vicious dishonesty of Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee’s play and movie, particularly the portrayal of William Jennings Bryan.
