Immigrant killers
In an amazing article, Takuan Seiyo looks in detail at the life of the Binghamton mass murderer Jiverly Wong, asking over and over, What was in the deal for the United States? He then recounts the cases of many other recent immigrant murderers and mass murderers. I’ve never seen such a catalogue before. Beyond the problem of murder, the article conveys a sense of the cosmic human disorder America has invited into itself in the name of non-discrimination and diversity. Must reading. The piece inspires this reworking of Emma Lazarus’s poem:
