Time’s all-purpose, anti-God, materialist excuse for crime

You knew it was coming. You just had to know. There was this feeling in the air that it was going to happen. Yup, here it is—TIME’s apologia for the pirate lifestyle. How piracy happened to come to Somalia. It’s all rational and explainable…
The interesting thing is that TIME assumes that economic forms of poverty lead to immorality. In other words there is an excuse for evil.
Shows how degenerate purely human forms of thought are. In the Bible, evil is evil regardless of its “cause.” As Paul demonstrates in the first two chapters of Romans, there are no excuses or alibis for sin and evil. So Biblical thought, divinely inspired, spirals upward towards sanctity at any cost. Pure human rationalism (rooted in materialism) always spirals downward to excuse evil. In essence the human epistemology that undergirds liberalism cannot help but be degenerate.
