Liberal idiocy on borders at National Review

Alan Roebuck writes:

Over at NR, Mallory Factor writes

So if we want to reduce the number of illegal entries, the best course is to give workers more legal channels.

(“Mallory Factor” is a pseudonym; his real name is malefactor.)

LA replies:

How about, in order to reduce the number of burglaries in crime ridden areas, the best course is for homeowners to keep open house? How about, the best way to reduce bank robberies is for banks to place their cash in open bins on the street?

Ray G. writes:

Your bank robbery/home burglary analogy is perfect. Once more (with feeling…), the USA admits more legal immigrants each year than all other countries in the world admit, each and every year. These open border zealots never seem willing to question such chronic economic basket cases like Mexico, why they are unable significantly to improve their fortunes, decade and decade, sometimes century after century.

We’ve exported a good deal of our manufacturing to Mexico in the past ten to fifteen years; we accept tens of millions of their peasants (so as to relieve the Mexican government from caring for them) and still the militant Latino lobby and American open borders liberals (on the left and right) are not happy.
