The PhotoShopped president?

I suppose I really do regard Barack Obama as the alien-in-chief, as you term him. When I see an image that includes him, I often feel as if he’s been photoshopped in:
Actually, I suspect he himself feels that way—as if he’s been photoshopped into reality, to redeem it. Just a bit of “digital manipulation” at the genetic level. As though he were thinking, “Yes—‘alien-in-chief’—I like it.”

I got some Obama photoshopping for you right here.
Now, since your familiarity with and love of black culture is well known, I shouldn’t need to explain “Dolemite” to you. But on the off chance one of your readers is not so enlightened, I’ll walk through it. Dolemite was a series of 1970s blaxploitation movies, kind of like “Shaft” and “Superfly” but way more over the top.
This one’s a bit stretched, but bear with me … If people know one thing out of Henry Louis Gates academic work, it’s “The Signifying Monkey.” The best retelling of the Signifying Monkey story ever done is by … wait for it … Dolemite. (Here is YouTube.)

Now where have I seen that being before? Ahh, now I remember! “Klaatu barada nikto.”
I knew ‘barack’ rang a faint bell. Unfortunately, ‘hussein’ rings a louder one. Now more than ever, I want to see the certificate!
