Libertarian intellectual notices the de-Europeanization of Europe
Charles Murray writes at the blog of the American Enterprise Institute, December 23:
The Word Made FleshNotwithstanding his “shock” at the realization that “Europe as we’ve known it is about to disappear,” Murray is fundamentally indifferent to this catastrophe. He mentions it in a brief blog entry. You can bet he will never write an article about it. To Murray, the disappearance of white Europe is no more than an interesting phenomenon to be tallied and noted. Next subject. As I said about Murray in 2006,
Murray couldn’t care less if Anglo-European America disappears from the universe. We knew that he’s a libertarian social scientist, and as such is indifferent to cultural and ethnic realities except insofar as they can be reduced to data points.Murray also makes the outrageous remark that Mark Steyn has explained this phenomenon to the world—Steyn, who over a period of several years in his book and numerous articles about the Islamization of Europe never once mentioned Muslim immigration. (See my articles on Steyn.) When a writer who has systematically engaged in massive, Orwellian-scale denial of a how a mortal threat to your society came into existence is routinely described as a top authority on that threat, you know your society is in trouble. When it comes to the most important issues, these establi-cons are useless, empty men. Murray, who has smugly said that he is “not impressed by worries about losing America’s Anglo-European identity,” and spoken of his preference for living in a nonwhite town over a “white-bread” community, will never oppose, never protest, the process that has led and is leading to the destruction of white civilization by the nonwhite world and by Islam. If he ever does say anything about it, it will be some half-detached remark that he makes once and never again.
A. Zarkov writes:
Charles Murray says he prefers a non-white town over a white-bread community. But where does Charles Murray actually live? Burkittsville, Maryland. Demographics: 95 percent white, one percent black, four percent Asian and zero percent Hispanic. Do a flyover using Google maps or Google Earth and see how green, rural and low population density the place is. Note the nearby forest.
