The other day I had a notion to send you a link with some comments. Then I thought it over and decided, what the heck, I’ll start my own blog. You can find the post I was going to send you under Can we still call this Western Culture?
As for the name, Stagheath, well, he’s a character I conjured up years ago, a bluff sort of fellow, old-school conservative, phlegmatic, perhaps a bit of a philistine, but always fair-minded enough to give credit where credit is due.

… So is the minority some kind of demon seed, doomed to failure and social pathology? Who knows? It’s not the majority’s business to worry about it. Sixty-five years, a whole lifetime, have passed since the end of the war and the start of the long, as yet unsuccessful struggle to purchase the minority’s satisfaction. The majority needs to go back to tending to its own affairs and demand that the government maintain the peace, follow instructions and otherwise leave it alone.
