Ayn Rand’s rejection of transcendence

The discussion in the entry, “Can an atheist believe in the good?”, has continued, with a Randian commenter denying that any universals, such as the good, exist. Kristor and I have replied to him. I posted an additional long comment concerning Rand’s statement that “only concretes exist,” then removed the comment for further revisions.
