Nominee withdraws from consideration for TSA post

Erroll Southers, Obama’s nominee to head the Transportation “Security” Administration which oversees airport “security,” believes that the greatest domestic terrorism threat in the U.S. comes from white racists and anti-abortionists. (See YouTube.) He also made the statement,

Due to connectivity that we have with countries such as Israel, France—countries that are seen by groups, by al Qaeda, as infidels or anti-Islamic—by the true nature of our alliance with them means that we subject to be attacked as well.

Which is the sort of thing people say who believe that it’s Israel’s fault and our fault that terrorists target Israel and us.

Now I had been under the impression, notwithstanding Southers’s black-sounding same and the syntactically challenged quality of the above statement (“Due to connectivity that we have … “), that he was not black but white, because of a photo and caption I had earlier seen. But I was wrong. Here he is:

Anyway, Southers today withdrew his name from consideration for the TSA post, as Republican senators had blocked the nomination over false statements Southers had made to the Senate.

What prodigy will Obama now pick to head TSA? Al Sharpton?
