False mortal laws and God’s law

About the catatrophic passage of the health care bill, a reader who is a Christian Scientist sends these passages from Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy:

God is the lawmaker, but He is not the author of barbarous codes. (p. 381:15)

The despotic tendencies, inherent in mortal mind and always germinating in new forms of tyranny, must be rooted out through the action of the divine Mind. (p. 225:25)
