Thanks from a reader

I just made a smaller than I’d like donation to your site.
(Last year of last child’s college means money is tight this year. I am very much looking forward to graduation and in denial about the discussions about “masters degree” and “Ph.D” that we have from time to time.)
I just wanted to say “Thanks!” You are a great asset to me personally, and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your ongoing efforts. The clarity you have brought to the recent events in Israel, and the echoes of those events, has been above even your usual high standard.
I particularly enjoyed your annotation of Buchanan’s comments, the piece explaining why this was a victory, not a defeat, and most of all the article on anti-Semitism and paleoconservatism. This last clarified things I have not quite understood.
(And, I will admit I am still baffled by the hatred that Richard Spencer et al. have for the Jews in general and the nation of Israel in particular. Even many of the outright anti-Semites at Occidental Quarterly support Israel’s existence as a Jewish Ethnostate. The Spencerites want Jews neither in America nor in the Middle East. How is that different from the Nazi position?)
So again, thanks for all you do. Good luck on the fundraiser. I hope to be able to contribute more in the coming months and years.
