Thus the Iranians are not only gaining decisive influence with our main Muslim client state which we have supposedly rebuilt as a pro-Western democracy, Iraq (President Maliki recently traveled to Teheran to embrace our arch enemy Johnnie), but also with our second Muslim client state which we are supposedly rebuilding as a pro-Western democracy, Afghanistan.

But don’t worry, neocons! Don’t worry, mainstream conservatives! Our policy in Iraq was a “SUCCESS” (a “success,” a “success,” a “success”—keep repeating until sleep quiets your limbs), and so, you can be sure, will our policy in Afghanistan!
