Stunning defeat of Democratic Farm Labor establishment in Minnesota
For the first time in almost 40 years, the Republican Party has won control of both the Minnesota House of Representatives and the Minnesota Senate. In the case of the House, the GOP wiped out a DFL majority of 87 to 47. The results exceeded the Republicans’ giddiest expectations. The Minneopolis Star-Tribine describes both sides as stunned and dazed by the outcome. Meanwhile, Hickenlooper has beaten Tancredo in Colorado, 50 to 37 percent, with Maes getting 11.
