Lara Logan, cont.
The discussion about Lara Logan’s ordeal and about her 60 MInutes interview about her ordeal continues, with a comment by an Indian living in the West. While his comment is fairly long, his main point, which is quietly devastating, can be summed up briefly: no lessons will be learned from this. I suppose he’s right. How can a society learn a lesson about X, Y, or Z, if it refuses, as a matter of sacred principle, to recognize the existence of X, Y, or Z as a real and distinct entity?
For much the same reason, no lessons will be learned from the wave of black mayhem sweeping across America. Email entry |
