Britain’s top cop quits

Sir Paul Stephenson, the commissioner of the Metropolitan Police (Scotland Yard), resigned today over the phone hacking scandal. He said his integrity is intact, but that his links with a former News International employee who later worked for Scotland Yard as a media consultant could hamper the investigation.
