The solution to the problem of Muslim U.S. soldiers who don’t want to fight in Muslim lands
Regarding the arrest of AWOL soldier Naser Abdo this week for planning a mass murder of Army soldiers near Fort Hood, a reader reminds me that I had a blog entry just last month on Abdo’s being granted conscientious objector status. In that entry I pointed out that there are three possible positions on the place of Islam in America, that two of these are intellectually consistent and one is a hopeless mess. The hopeless mess is the mainstream position, represented by writer Patrick Poole. Poole was outraged, almost traumatized, that Abdo was granted conscientious objector status. Poole doesn’t want double standards for Muslims. He wants Muslims to serve in the military like everyone else, even though they are not loyal to the U.S., not to mention that they are likely to go jihad-postal and kill their fellow soldiers. Of the two consistent positions, the first is my own: Muslims don’t belong in the United States military or in the United States. Remove them from both, and the contradiction of having a population of disloyal and dangerous Muslims in the Army and in the country will be eliminated.
The second consistent position is the Islamic position: Islamize America, and the contradiction of having a population of disloyal and dangerous Muslims in the Army and in the country will be eliminated, since everyone will come under the power of Islam. Muslims won’t be disloyal any more, because it will be their country. Email entry |
