Democrats not on board with jobs bill
Both in his September 8 speech and since then, President Obama has repeatedly called on Congress to “pass this jobs bill now.” But as the New York Times reports, not only are the Democrats unwilling to pass the bill now, they don’t want to pass it—a single “jobs” bill—at all, but want to divide it into smaller pieces of legislation. Many of them feel badly burned by the stimulus, and don’t want to go down that road again. So, if insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting that the next time it will succeed, it would appear, at least in this instance, that many Democrats are not insane, but Obama is.
