The first police report
Here, in pdf, is the initial police report on the February 26 Twin Lakes shooting. It does not present any information or witnesses’ statements about what led up to the shooting, only what officers saw and did when they arrived at the scene and found a black male lying unresponsive on the ground and a “white” man, George Zimmerman, standing nearby. One officer writes:
“While I was in such close contact with Zimmerman, I could observe that his back appeared to be wet and was covered in grass, as if he had been laying on his back on the ground. Zimmerman was also bleeding from the nose and back of his head.” Email entry |
