Display of special characters
Observant readers may have noticed a subtle improvement at VFR in the last couple of weeks. On the full entry pages, quotation marks are now displayed properly as curly or “smart” quotation marks instead of as “straight” quotation marks, and em dashes are now displayed properly as em dashes—like this—instead of as ugly double hyphens. The same goes for other special characters. They have displayed correctly on the main page for several years, but not on the permanent entry pages. Thanks to Alan M., that has now been fixed.
