By executive fiat, “transgendered” persons now come under the 1964 Civil Rights Act
Posted at at Lucianne.com today I see this story:
WASHINGTON — The agency that enforces the federal job discrimination laws has for the first time ruled that transgender people are protected from bias in the workplace. In a groundbreaking decision late last week, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission said a refusal to hire or otherwise discriminate on the basis of gender identity is by definition sex discrimination under federal law. While some federal courts have reached the same conclusion in recent years, employment law experts say the EEOC decision sets a national standard of enforcement…Think what this means. If I own a business with more than X number of employees, the “more than X” putting me under the power of the employment provisions of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, namely Title VII (as later amended to include sex discrimination), and if you apply for a job with my business, and if I find you a disgusting and repulsive individual, let’s say because you have metal rings in your nose, I can refuse to hire you and no one can gainsay me. But if you apply for a job and I find you a disgusting and repulsive individual, and therefore decline to hire you, because you had some monstrous surgery in which your sex organs were removed and artificial sex organs were put in their place, and you are now dressing as the opposite sex from your actual sex and demanding that everyone treat you as being of the opposite sex from your actual sex, then I have discriminated against you and violated federal law, and the federal government can bring me to court and sue me and destroy my business for my unlawful act of discrimination.
Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act gave the federal government the power to violate one of the most basic human rights, the right to choose whom we associate with. It was a revolutionary and tyrannical act from its outset. With its various statutory and regulatory excrescences since then, ranging from quotas and “disparate impact” to sex discrimination, disability discrimination, and now “transgender” discrimination, it has become vastly worse. It cannot be fixed. There is only one way out of this horror, and that is go to the root and repeal Title VII. Any conservative who accepts Title VII, let alone celebrates it, as all “conservatives” do, is a part of the liberal tyranny under which we now live. Email entry |
