Blacks at the Olympics as compared with whites at the Olympics

Charles Gray writes:

A commentator on the BBC has, as I write, recounted in a voice of the utmost friendly indulgence, as if telling a funny story about a child, how the Kenyan winner of an Olympics race was charged with stabbing someone, but that the court case was rescheduled to enable him to come to London and race. Remarkable in itself, but also for the contrast it reveals. Telling a joke about blacks, or being associated with a member of a rightist party, gets white athletes instantly removed from white countries’ Olympic teams. At the same time, in Africa, authorities take active steps to ensure that being charged in a violent crime does not prevent a black athlete from participating in the Olympics.
