Romney campaign gives white voters permission to vote against Obama

There is a Romney ad which, to paraphrase, says, “We tried, he [meaning Obama] tried, it’s okay to make a change.” I thought the same thing could be said of integration. “We tried, they tried (in the broadest sense of the word try), it’s okay to make a change.”

It’s funny that there needs to be an ad which gives white voters permission to vote against Obama. What would a contrary ad look like?
