Barnhardt on the coming violence and how to prepare for it
I found out about Matthew Bracken’s article, “When The Music Stops—How America’s Cities May Explode In Violence” (see previous entry) at Ann Barnhardt’s site, where she wrote her own summary of it:
HOW THE DISINTEGRATION IS LIKELY GOING TO HAPPEN
I admire Ann Barnhardt, as you do … and yet…. is there anything about her, and in particular about her tone, that alarms you? I sense a level of unremitting rage there that brings to mind, well, Keith Olbermann or Thomas Fleming. Now of course Olbermann is angry about the wrong things, and Barnhardt is angry about the right things, and so the difference between them is enormous. And yet…. ! I welcome your views.LA replies:
I greatly admired her Lindsey Graham-destroying, Koran-burning video last year. But when I looked at other things she had written, I got the feeling that she was something of an extreme personality and I didn’t keep reading her. Why then have I posted two entries on her today? The fact that she is openly defying the federal government by refusing to pay her taxes, basing her defiance on Christian principles, and (correctly it seems to me) calling the early Christian martyrs her models, at the least deserves a respectful hearing. And her scenario of greatly expanded black riots and attacks on whites, based on Matt Bracken’s article, seems entirely plausible to me.Brett A. writes:
If Obama were President I would expect him to federalize the national guards then hold off on deploying them in hopes of just such a scenario as Barnhardt predicts. This is something I have believed for some time now. What excuse would Obama have to hold off deploying troops? I’d say the administration and the media would pretend there was some kind of negotiation going on to try for a peaceful resolution or some such excuse. Then once the white/Asian suburbs have been terrorized into submission they would welcome martial law with open arms. The murders/torture/rapes would just be icing on the cake for the progressives in reaching their real goal which is martial law evolving into whatever tyrannical form of government they have planned.September 11 Bruce B. writes:
Whenever someone says that catastrophes like collapse and civil war are inevitable and imminent, I start to think that they’re a kook. She sounds like Chuck Baldwin or Alex Jones, only worse. I’m also bothered by a woman that is enthusiastic about sniping. Would our Laura Wood be enthusiastic about sniping?LA replies:
Are we speaking about the same Thomas Fleming?Andrew B. writes:
Sorry, but Ann seems truly unhinged. Her postings evidence an unhealthy obsession with violence, death, and rape. For being a so-called Christian, she certainly seems to have no concept of the way of peace.LA replies:
The physical coins and dollars she possesses as a medium of exchange were made by the government. But that which gives her dollars the value they have certainly does not come from the government.Andrew E writes: In this entry, Andrew B. insults Ann Barnhardt with his claim that she is engaging in this tax strike so that she can keep her money. If he read her, Andrew would know that Barnhardt gave up a pretty good income when she voluntarily closed down her brokerage business on principle and has since been living off of her savings. It’s clear that Ann cares nothing for money and is motivated solely by her sincere belief that her immortal soul is in danger if she continues to support our government with her earnings. She argues that our federal government is now fully committed to funding and carrying out child sacrifice on a massive scale and that she can no longer pay tribute. If that is not a principled stand, I don’t know what is. Posted by Lawrence Auster at September 10, 2012 01:40 PM | Send Email entry |
