Obama administration has dropped pretense that embassy attack was caused by anti-Muhammad movie
If even officials of the leftist U.S. government are telling the leftist British paper The Independent that the assault on the Benghazi consulate not caused by that horrible Islamophobe Terry Jones’s movie but was a planned al Qaeda attack, I think we can assume that that is indeed the case.
Senior officials are increasingly convinced, however, that the ferocious nature of the Benghazi attack, in which rocket-propelled grenades were used, indicated it was not the result of spontaneous anger due to the video, called Innocence of Muslims. Patrick Kennedy, Under-Secretary at the State Department, said he was convinced the assault was planned due to its extensive nature and the proliferation of weapons.Remember how Kaddafi kept saying that the rebels were al Qaeda types, and that if he went down they would come to power? Well, al Qaeda may not be formally in power in Libya, but we can be sure that if Kaddafi were still alive, al Qaeda would not have been in a position to launch this deadly attack on a U.S. consulate.
