Why has atheism become tyrannical?

Readers may find intructive or enjoyable an intense VFR discussion from May 2009 on “Tyrannical atheism.” I start off with the question of why atheism, after peacefully co-existing with traditional modes of belief in the West for a long time, now seeks their total silencing and banishment. I then encounter two interlocutors (“C. in New York” and “Jack R.”) who inadvertently demonstrate the tyrannical nature of today’s atheism. The discussion then turns toward Randianism and how it is the most radically anti-traditionalist of all belief systems.
