Correction and apology

I made a big mistake in my original posting of last evening’s entry on Charles Krauthammer’s article about mass shootings. I was so interested in his unusual three-prong approach to the problem, with the second and third prongs being controls on hyper-violent mass entertainment and restoration of the past practice of committing dangerously crazy people to state hospitals, that I completely missed the significance of his first prong: his at least tentative advocacy of confiscation of all guns and repeal of the Second Amendment. My apologies to readers who must have been shocked at my praise of such an article.
