Man shoots home invader dead, saves parents

More evidence of the indispensability of gun ownership.

The Daily Mail reports:

A 21-year-old son shot dead an intruder to protect his immigrant parents when three men stormed their suburban home in Houston on Thursday night.

The residents, who are from Eastern Europe, were enjoying some family time together and baking a cake when they heard a knock on the door at around 8pm.

The father answered the door and a group of three men forced their way in.

‘I see a young boy and I think it is a friend of my son so I open it a little bit,’ the father explained to KHOU-TV, he did not want to be identified and pictured out of concern for his safety.

‘These guys push and out comes two more, they push me on the ground,’ he said.

The men advanced toward the mother and at that point the son retrieved his gun, stored under his bed, and shot one intruder dead.

The two other suspects ran away.
