I ask readers to stop sending comments to me for the time being. The functionality in my browser has slowed thirty-fold. I press right arrow, it takes the computer 30 seconds to move the insertion point, I press PageUp, it takes 30 seconds to respond. So it’s impossible for me to work with the site. If you have an idea for a comment, please write it in draft, and when the site is working again I’ll announce it so that you can send it.
This doesn’t mean that VFR will stop totally in the interim. I have entries being prepared in Word, which, strangely, still functions normally, and I can finish them in Word and simply paste them into VFR’s editing window and post them without doing any work on them in the editing window.
